Job summary
Managem Group is seeking a senior Health & Safety professional to lead HSE programs across mining operations, with relocation to the South-East region. You will drive risk management, incident investigations, and safety culture across site teams.
The role requires a minimum of 10 years in Health & Safety, including 5+ years in mining or high-risk settings, and strong leadership with a focus on regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s in Occupational Health & Safety, HSE, Mining Engineering or equivalent.
- NEBOSH/ISO 45001 Lead Auditor/Implementer or equivalent is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of Health & Safety experience, with at least 5 years in mining or high-risk industry.
- Experience in critical risk management, contractor oversight, and field operations support.
Responsibilities
- Implement and promote Health & Safety Management System across the site.
- Advise site leadership on HSE matters and promote safety culture.
- Identify and control mining risks; lead major hazard prevention initiatives.
- Plan and oversee HSE inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
- Lead accident investigations and ensure corrective actions.
- Monitor HSE performance indicators and report to management.
- Oversee safety training and contractor safety compliance.
- Ensure emergency preparedness and regulatory compliance.
