Job summary

Pilbara Minerals Limited is seeking a Mechanical Technician to maintain and repair equipment across the production plant and utilities on a FIFO 8:6, 8:6, 7:7 roster from Perth. You will perform maintenance to ensure safe, reliable operations within budgets.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting, possess high-risk licensing, and have fixed plant experience in mining. A strong safety record and teamwork are essential in this remote environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Engineering – Mechanical Fitter (Fixed Plant), Australian recognised.
• Essential HRW licensing: elevating work platform, forklift, confined space & dogging.
• Fixed plant experience in mine processing plants.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Team player in remote locations.
• Strong safety and quality mindset.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily mechanical maintenance to the plan as directed by the Mechanical Supervisor.
• Troubleshoot machine components and gather failure evidence for analysis.
• Ensure work orders are completed to a high quality in PRONTO.
• Provide information and guidance to assistants in their duties.
• Participate in special projects when required.
• Maintain punctuality at all times.
• Ensure parts are used properly and returned to stores.
• Clean and tag parts after repair with work order details.
• Return company tools to proper areas after use.
• Keep the work area and workshops clean and safe.
• Raise improvement opportunities with supervisor or Maintenance Superintendent.
