Safety Management Group seeks a Safety Advisor – Construction in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with a 1 Day Shift and 1 Night Shift opening. Per diem is available for this project.

The role involves site safety observations, hazard analysis, and reporting in a construction environment. Premium pay after 40 billable hours weekly at a 1.35x multiplier, per diem for non-local candidates ($160/day), and a $400 Road Warrior Benefit monthly are offered.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of construction safety experience.
• BSCP/Cert (CSP, CHST, STSC) preferred.
• Degree in safety or related field preferred.
• First-aid/CPR certification (ARC or AHA) required/preferred.
• OSHA 510 and OSHA 30-hr Construction training.

Responsibilities

• Site safety observations and documentation of findings.
• Create reports, run safety metrics, and use safety software.
• Conduct Job Hazard Analysis.
• Represent the contractor in progress meetings.
• Verify compliance with safety policies as required by law, Owner, and contractors.
• Conduct New Hire Orientations and safety meetings.
• Provide incident management and support.
• Documentation and report preparation.
• Conduct contractor program reviews.

SMG seeks a Safety Advisor – Construction in Chattanooga, Tennessee – 1 Day Shift and 1 Night Shift Opening - Per diem is available for this project.

The key function of a Safety Advisor is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel. The Associate in this role will work in a construction environment.

This project is rework of a concrete dam.

Additional Information

• SMG full-time, benefitted Associates are eligible for Premium Pay after working 40 billable hours for the week. Premium pay is at a 1.35 multiplier.
• Per Diem is available for non-local candidates only. Per diem is $160/day for this project.
• This projects anticpated duration is until the end of November. Anticipated schedule is 12 hours per day. 7 days per week.
• $400 Road Warrior Benefit each month.
• Annual pay/merit review/increase.

Overview Of Job Responsibilities

• Site safety observations, including documentation of findings
• Must be able to create reports, run safety metrics, and use other software programs
• Conduct Job Hazard Analysis
• Represent the contractor in progress meetings

Requirements

• Five plus years of construction safety experience
• BSCP Cert preferred - CSP, CHST, STSC, etc.
• A degree in safety or related fields is preferred
• First-aid/CPR certification from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
• OSHA 510
• OSHA 30-hr Construction

Physical Demands of the job may include

• Moving about long distances
• Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders
• Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period
