Job summary

The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Safety Manager/ADA Coordinator to lead ADA compliance efforts under Titles II & III, and support safety programs across the agency.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally; strong time management.
• Knowledge of safety program techniques and applicable regulations; ability to apply them in state government.
• Ability to coordinate and deliver trainings for DEP staff.

Responsibilities

• Promote accessibility and inclusion for the Department by making policy recommendations supported by research.
• Assist with safety inspections, incident analyses, and prepare reports for the Agency Safety Officer.
• Develop and conduct health and safety trainings and coordinate safety communications.
