Job summary

The State of Florida’s Department of Environmental Protection seeks a Safety Manager/ADA Coordinator for Titles II & III. Located in Tallahassee, this role develops procedures to improve department operations, promote accessibility, and provide technical assistance across agencies to ensure compliance with ADA standards.

Responsibilities include training, safety audits, risk reviews, and participation in Safety Advisory Boards.

Qualifications

• Required to promote accessibility and inclusion and to develop and evaluate training resources.
• Ability to analyze data, manage programs and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of health, safety and security matters in state government.

Responsibilities

• Promote accessibility and inclusion for the Department by developing policy recommendations and improving access.
• Review incident reports and conduct safety inspections; report trends to Safety Officer.
• Develop training on health and safety topics and assist with COOP planning.
• Assist with Safety Advisory Boards and manage portions of the safety budget.
• Coordinate Fire Marshal inspections and risk reports.

Education

Post-secondary degrees as alternative for required three years of experience
