Job Title: Safety and Access Technician I

The Safety and Access Technician I assists in the maintenance, testing, and repair of campus building access control systems, video security systems, and emergency notification systems. This position provides support in maintaining associated system hardware and software and helps with maintaining operating schedules and system parameters.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and test campus emergency notification systems. Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic building access control systems and devices.
• Assist with maintenance and installation of security camera systems and associated hardware.
• Assist with the operation and maintenance of software and data systems related to access control and video security.
• Maintain system data, parameters, and operating schedules, and keep appropriate records.
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
