Job summary

Treviso Bay in Naples, FL seeks a Seasonal Safety & Access Officer to help maintain a secure, welcoming community. The role reports to the Director of Safety and Access and carries no supervisory responsibilities. The position is 6 months or less and pays $20.00 per hour.

Primary duties include monitoring entrances, enforcing rules, responding to emergencies, and maintaining safety logs. Prior security experience is preferred; HS diploma required; outdoor conditions are possible.

Responsibilities

• Observe entrances/exits and monitor for suspicious activity.
• Enforce community rules and regulations.
• Transport members and guests inside the community.
• Monitor security cameras and respond to incidents.
• Notify Director of Safety and Access or emergency services when needed.
• Administer CPR, AED, and First Aid if required.
• Patrol facilities during duty and log activities.
• Report safety deficiencies and complete assigned tasks.

The Safety & Access Officer plays a vital part in maintaining a secure and welcoming environment for our community. The Safety and Access Officer reports directly to the Director of Safety and Access and does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Observe person(s) entering and leaving community and remain alert for suspicious persons or vehicles.
• Enforce community rules and regulations.
• Transport members and guests inside of the community.
• Monitor security cameras.
• Respond to emergencies and assist as needed; contact Director of Safety of Access and/or Police, Fire, or Ambulance (911) as needed.
• Administer CPR, AED, and First Aid, if necessary, until first responders arrive.
• Patrol facilities, neighbors during tour of duty.
• Note any deficiencies in community safety measures.
• Maintain accurate log of all safety and access activities.
• Conduct intermittent inspections of all community grounds, facilities and areas.
• Is familiar with emergency 911 notification procedures
• Completes all other appropriate assignments made by the Director of Safety and Access.

Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations

• Experience in related job preferred.
• Must be able to remain alert throughout shift.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform required roles during emergency situations.

Education and/or Experience

• High School education or equivalent.
• Previous law enforcement and/or security experience desirable.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to hot, humid and/or rainy conditions.
• Working conditions may be slippery or wet.
• May work in nighttime conditions.
• Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment that is typical for this position.
• Able to perform lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
• Continuous standing and walking.
