Job summary

Centro de la Familia is seeking a Bus Aide to support the Bus Driver and ensure the health and safety of children during transportation.

This entry-level position focuses on supervision, sign-in/sign-out duties, loading/unloading, and maintaining a clean, safe bus environment. Certifications like First Aid/CPR and Food Handler’s Permit are required upon hire, with a strong emphasis on working with children, including those with special needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Completion of 4 hours of training required before starting bus duties.
• Entry-level position: no prior education or experience required.
• First Aid, CPR, Food Handler’s Permit are required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bus Driver in maintaining the safety and well-being of children.
• Ensure accurate sign-in/sign-out of each child on the Daily Bus Sign In/Sign Out form.
• Load and unload children securely using seat harnesses and follow safety procedures.
• Maintain accountability by releasing children only to authorized individuals.
• Perform Post Trip Inspection and keep bus interior clean and sanitary.
• Support inclusion through age-appropriate learning activities and positive behavior guidance.
