Job summary

Alamogordo Public Schools is seeking a School Bus Driver to operate buses for student transportation to and from school and related activities. You will ensure safety, reliability, and courteous service while adhering to policies and regulations.

The role requires a clean driving record, NM background checks, a valid CDL Class B with S and P endorsements (or ability to obtain), and compliance with drug testing and health requirements. First Aid/CPR certification is preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Solid driving record on NM DMV or equivalent
• Background check per NM statute and district policy
• CDL Class B for school buses with S and P endorsements or ability to obtain
• Pre-employment drug screening per 49 CFR Part 382
• First Aid/CPR certification desired where required

Responsibilities

• Operate school buses to transport students to and from school and activities
• Identify and communicate mechanical/maintenance and emergency situations
• Maintain safety and on-time transportation service with ethical conduct
