Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid New Mexico CDL-Bus Driver's license or ability to obtain one.
• Clean driving record with no DUI/DWI convictions within past 10 years.

• Verify permissions for children riding home with friends.
• Adhere to confidentiality laws and regulations.

• Be familiar with loading/unloading students and transporting between schools.
• Able to work during inclement weather.

• Meet state/local laws concerning speeding, parking, and safety rules.
• Keep assigned schedule and report delays.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Notify proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness.
• Transport only authorized students, sponsors, and staff.
• Check seats after each trip for bus interior condition.
• Report accidents and complete required reports.
• Enforce regulations against smoking or drugs on the bus.
