Job summary

The Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking an Extended Care Aide to provide a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled environment for students in the before- and after-school program. Working under the Extended Care Director or Principal, you will supervise students, assist with activities and homework, and model Catholic values.

You will plan activities, maintain a positive environment, communicate with parents, and participate in staff trainings to support Catholic education’s mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with school-age children preferred.
• Ability to supervise groups safely and positively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Support Catholic education values and mission.
• Willingness to participate in training and staff meetings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students before- and after-school programs.
• Ensure safety and appropriate supervision at all times.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Assist with homework and encourage independence.
• Maintain a welcoming, faith-centered environment.
• Lead students in prayer and model Christian behavior.
• Communicate concerns to directors and parents as appropriate.
• Maintain attendance and sign-in/out procedures.
• Follow health guidelines and keep spaces clean.
• Participate in staff meetings and training.
