Job summary

The Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking an Extended Care Aide to provide a safe, nurturing, faith-filled environment for students in the before- and after-school program.

Under supervision of the Extended Care Director or Principal, you will supervise, assist with activities and homework, and model Christian values while fostering a caring community. Responsibilities include supervision before/after school, organizing activities, aiding with homework, and communicating concerns promptly to staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with school-age children preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students before and after school extended care.
• Ensure safety and well-being of all students at all times.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate recreational, educational, and enrichment activities.
• Assist students with homework and encourage independence.
• Maintain a faith-centered, respectful environment reflective of Catholic values.
• Lead students in prayer and model Christian behavior.
• Promote respectful interactions and assist with behavior management.
• Communicate concerns to the Extended Care Director, Principal, and parents as appropriate.
• Maintain attendance records and sign-in/out procedures.
• Follow health and allergy guidelines during snack distribution.
