Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in New York City is seeking a Driver to provide safe, timely transportation for residents, assist with getting in and out of vehicles, and ensure comfort and safety on every trip. You will conduct pre-trip inspections, keep vehicles clean, complete logs, and report changes in residents’ conditions.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; age 21+
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• CPR certification (as required)
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment
• Complete required driving logs and documentation
• Report resident changes in condition
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards
• Assist with activities when not driving
