Independent Claims Adjuster - Northern California

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Independent Claims Adjuster to join our Sacramento, California team, servicing Sacramento and surrounding counties. The role involves investigating, evaluating, and adjusting commercial trucking insurance claims from initial loss to final resolution. This is a remote field-based role requiring on-site inspections. Applicants must reside in and be able to travel locally within the Sacramento area.

This position requires on-site inspections and in-person client interactions throughout these regions.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluating insurance coverage and liability exposure.
  • Conducting investigations, including interviews and recorded statements.
  • Performing on-site inspections, including cold calls, scene investigations, and vehicle inspections.
  • Making informed claim adjustment recommendations.
  • Preparing clear, detailed, and comprehensive reports.
  • Maintaining control of a full caseload while meeting deadlines and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of claims handling experience.
  • Strong field investigation and inspection background preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse parties.
  • Highly developed analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage travel within assigned areas.

Compensation: $35 hourly plus overtime eligibility
