Job summary

Ad Astra in Overland Park, KS seeks a Release Manager to lead planning, coordination, and execution of frequent, high-quality software releases. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Quality, and Client Success to minimize disruption and maximize client value.

The role emphasizes governance, risk management, and continuous improvement of release processes, enabling scalable, reliable SaaS delivery across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years' experience managing software releases, technical projects, or delivery operations in SaaS/tech.
• Strong coordination of cross-functional teams and multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile product development and modern release practices.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise release management and cross-functional release governance.
• Coordinate planning, execution, and communication of software releases and updates.
• Assess readiness, dependencies, risks, and deployment timelines with product and engineering leads.
• Facilitate release planning, readiness reviews, and post-release retrospectives.
• Drive Go/No-Go decisions and maintain release readiness.
• Monitor progress and mitigate risks impacting timelines and client experience.
• Work with DevOps to enable feature flags, staged rollouts, and rapid rollback capabilities.
• Ensure instrumentation for adoption and business impact post-release.
