Job summary

VIDA Diagnostics, Inc. is seeking a Release Manager to lead how software changes move from development to production across our cloud-based products.

You will own the release operating model, ensuring quality, data security, and regulatory compliance in a healthcare SaaS environment. This role collaborates with Engineering, Architecture, Cloud Operations, Product Management, Data Science, Quality, Security, and Compliance to implement automated, risk-based delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, release engineering, or related delivery roles.
• 2+ years leading or improving release management, CI/CD, DevOps, or production-readiness in SaaS/cloud.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, Test Driven Development, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with progressive delivery, feature flags, canary or blue/green deployments, and health-based promotion.
• Knowledge of software delivery metrics, observability, incident response, and reliability.
• Ability to design risk-based processes to improve velocity while maintaining production safety.
• Strong systems thinking and experience with Agile methods (ScrumBan, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
• Ability to engage credibly with engineers on technical details affecting process and messaging.

Responsibilities

• Define and continuously improve VIDA’s release strategy, standards, governance, and success metrics.
• Move toward automated, risk-based delivery with minimized manual coordination and approvals.
• Establish release classifications by clinical impact, data sensitivity, reversibility, and blast radius.
• Define controls for each risk level, including testing, review, or progressive deployment requirements.
• Create emergency-change and exception processes preserving accountability and traceability.
• Ensure release evidence is reliable, searchable, and audit-ready.
