Job summary

Metrc is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to own software quality and validate complex workflows across our platform and integrations. This role goes beyond UI testing and requires strong debugging across data flows and API behavior in a SaaS environment.

You will design test plans, validate end-to-end processes with third‑party systems, and contribute to automation strategies while collaborating with product, engineering, and release teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software QA engineering in SaaS or software product environments.
• Experience testing APIs and validating complex technical workflows across integrated systems.
• Proficiency with API testing tools (Postman/Insomnia) to construct and evaluate tests.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and QA roles in sprint delivery.
• Jira for defect management and test tracking; Confluence for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans for new features, platform updates, and integrations.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end workflow testing.
• Validate API behavior, data integrity, and error handling.
• Test cross-system workflows involving third‑party integrations (POS/ERP/regulatory interfaces).
• Contribute to test automation strategies and scripts where applicable.
