Job summary

centralreach is seeking a senior quality engineer to drive quality across the full software life cycle of our SaaS platform serving therapy providers, educators, and clinical employers. The role combines hands-on testing, automation development, and cross-team collaboration to ship high-quality software.

Responsibilities include expanding the test case library, designing tests for web/mobile/API, and performing manual acceptance testing within an Agile team while building reusable automation

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of quality assurance experience in an Agile engineering environment.
• 5–7 years testing web and mobile applications in a SaaS organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across product, engineering, and DevOps.
• Hands-on experience writing functional and non-functional test cases and managing a test case library.
• Proficiency with scripting or programming languages to build automation for web, mobile, and API services.
• Deep understanding of UI test automation patterns and practices for reliable, scalable suites.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs, and iOS or Android platforms.
• Experience parsing and validating API responses, including tooling such as Postman.
• Comfort querying relational databases to understand and verify data.
• Familiarity with release testing strategies, varied testing types across the SDLC, and CI/CD pipeline integration.

Responsibilities

• Expand the test case library and increase overall test coverage.
• Design test cases for verification and validation of web, mobile, API, and integrated system flows.
• Perform manual acceptance testing within an Agile team, investigate issues, and report defects clearly.
• Build deterministic, reusable automation scripts within agreed timeboxes to cover anything that could affect the system.
• Maintain the test automation library so it remains reliable during execution.
• Develop test plans that ensure full coverage for changes supporting each release.
• Champion quality practices and collaboration across product and engineering.
• Shape intelligent testing strategies that shift defect discovery upstream, ahead of customers.
• Safeguard release quality so customers see no production downtime or critical impediments.
