Job summary

Render Networks is seeking a Platform Support Engineer to join our DevOps/SRE team, supporting day-to-day operation, reliability and supportability of our cloud platform and engineering systems.

You will work closely with Product Engineering, Customer Success and internal teams to investigate issues, support incident response, improve processes and ensure our SaaS platform remains secure, reliable and easy to operate.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or similar operations role.
• Experience supporting production software systems in SaaS/cloud environments.
• Willingness to participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for Render's production SaaS platform and assist with investigation, troubleshooting and resolution of platform issues.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call roster to respond to production incidents and outages.
• Act as primary operational contact during US business hours, coordinating with global engineering teams.
• Participate in incident response activities including triage, investigation, communication and follow-up.
• Monitor platform health and respond to alerts and events.
• Support CI/CD operations and assist engineering teams with software delivery issues.
• Assist with observability and monitoring practices using Datadog.
• Support infrastructure as code practices with CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Contribute to documentation, runbooks and knowledge sharing.
