Job summary

HealthEdge in Burlington, MA, is seeking an Application Services Engineer to install and upgrade our SaaS and customer-hosted HealthRules deployments across private and public clouds, including AWS. Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in deployment, solutions engineering, or system/platform engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related discipline or equivalent work experience
• Healthcare industry experience, Blue Card desirable
• Interest in deployment and automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
• Engineering mindset focused on design, implementation and process improvement
• Basic Linux abilities
• Familiarity with SQL/PLSQL or related relational databases
• AWS experience desirable
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Ability to learn new technologies and apply new skills
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Shell scripting skills
• Occasional off-hours work including weekends for production upgrades

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade HealthEdge applications in private cloud, public cloud (AWS), and customer-hosted setups
• Learn and apply HealthEdge Deployment Methodology and automation tools
• Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and share knowledge
• Document solutions and contribute to team learning
• Troubleshoot production environments and upgrade processes
• Support health information handling per policy and procedure
• Communicate with senior management as needed
• Manage multiple tasks with priorities and clear updates
