Job summary

HealthEdge is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer in Test to join the team in Burlington, MA with hybrid/remote options. You will develop automation using Java-based frameworks, implement robust test plans, and ensure high-quality releases in a data-driven healthcare software environment.

You will collaborate with product managers and developers to clarify requirements, drive on-time releases, and improve CI/CD pipelines while leveraging a modern automation framework and a strong testing mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software testing experience.
• Ability to write automated test code and tools.
• Expert in both UI test automation (Cypress) and API testing (RestAssured/soapUI).
• Experience with performance testing (JMeter).
• Experience with multiple test frameworks (Cucumber/Rspec/TestNG).
• Proficiency with Java, JavaScript, Python or similar languages.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle/MySQL).
• Familiarity with Agile SDLC and DevOps practices (CI/CD).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation in existing tools and extend frameworks as needed.
• Execute both white- and black-box testing.
• Create and execute test plans and cases from requirements and stories.
• Identify testing gaps and improve processes to raise quality.
• Contribute to DevOps work and CI/CD improvements.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to meet releases.
• Participate in product demonstrations.
