Job summary

NetBrain, founded in 2004, seeks a Controller to own the accounting function for a fast-growing SaaS business backed by private equity. You will lead core accounting operations, drive the monthly close, manage ASC 606 revenue recognition, and oversee audits and reporting to CFO, sponsors and the board.

You will guide technical accounting, buy-side reporting cadence, and build scalable controls for future growth and potential exits, while partnering with the CFO on capital structure and approvals.

Qualifications

• CPA required; public accounting background strongly preferred.
• Deep expertise in ASC 606 for SaaS/subscription models.
• Experience leading external audits and SOX-ready controls.
• Strong systems background with NetSuite or Sage Intacct.
• Proven ability to scale accounting processes during rapid growth.

Responsibilities

• Own month/quarter/year-end close and reporting packages for CFO and board.
• Serve as technical accounting authority, especially ASC 606 SaaS revenue.
• Manage external audits, SOX readiness, and tax compliance across states.
• Drive ERP strategy and subledger integrations (billing/CRM/revenue).
• Build scalable processes and mentor the accounting team as growth continues.
