Job summary

Johnson RV is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead the service department in a fast‑paced RV shop, delivering top‑tier repair and maintenance experiences.

You will coach technicians and service advisors, optimize workflows with modern software, monitor KPIs, ensure safety, and maintain strong customer communication. RV industry experience is a plus, but the right background will work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a team in a shop or service center.
• Strong computer skills with DMS and scheduling software.
• Leadership and people-management abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills for multiple jobs and priorities.
• Strong customer service and clear communication with staff and customers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily service department operations, scheduling, workflow, and technician assignments.
• Coach and develop technicians and service advisors, enforce quality standards.
• Track repair orders, parts, labor, and warranty claims using DMS and digital systems.
• Monitor KPIs (labor efficiency, cycle time, customer satisfaction, profit) and act to meet targets.
• Be primary contact for customers with service concerns and ensure timely resolution.
• Manage warranty submissions, approvals, and documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe shop meeting standards.
• Collaborate with parts and other managers to keep jobs moving.
• Hire, train, and evaluate service staff; address performance issues.
• Control costs for labor, supplies, tools, and outside vendor work.
