Job summary

Jayco Inc. in Indiana seeks a full-time Service Writer to act as the primary communications link among dealers, customers, and Jayco service technicians. You will diagnose defects, coordinate repairs, and manage the service schedule to ensure timely, accurate repair orders and estimates.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, RV construction knowledge, and warranty or customer-service experience. The role includes walking customers through repairs and handling sublet/vendor follow-ups.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable regarding RV construction processes and mechanical aptitude.
• Previous successful service writer, customer service, warranty experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact between dealer, customer, Jayco service technicians and Call Center to diagnose defects and coordinate repairs.
• Manage service schedule and assign work to technicians based on assessment and flat rate information.
• Prepare and enter repair orders with symptoms, problems, and approved repairs; review recalls & TSBs.
• Prepare estimates for customer pay issues ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Arrange and manage follow-up with sublet and vendor repairs.
