Job summary

fab2 is building Studio, a fast, browser-based, multiplayer platform for designing and assembling whole chips. You will own major features end to end—from design through shipping—on a Rust code path that runs in web and native environments.

This internship role offers exposure to Bevy ECS, wgpu, WebAssembly, and a suite of tools while working in Austin, TX with a team shipping cutting-edge silicon design software.

Qualifications

• Strong Rust, or serious C++/systems experience and the obvious curiosity to go deep in Rust.
• Solid systems fundamentals: memory, performance, concurrency. You profile before you optimize.
• A track record of non-trivial software you built from scratch and can walk us through end to end.

Responsibilities

• Deeply interactive, low-latency editing tools development.
• A document model that supports diffing/merging and real-time collaboration.
• The sync engine streaming edits between clients for high bandwidth, eventual consistency.
