Job summary

fab2 is hiring embedded software engineers to build the software systems behind our semiconductor fabrication tools. You’ll develop firmware for real-time control of processing tools, from early system definition through board bring-up, driver development, control logic, state machines, communications interfaces, and production deployment.

This is an end-to-end role for engineers who enjoy debugging across hardware and software boundaries, collaborating with electronics and mechanical engineers,

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Physics, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with proven software skills.
• Minimum of 3 years of real-time embedded software experience.
• Experience programming in C for microcontrollers and Python for diagnostics.
• Experience taking embedded systems from concept to production.
• Knowledge of microcontroller peripherals (ADC, GPIO, PWM, SPI, I2C, CAN).
• Experience with actuators, sensors and DSP.

Responsibilities

• Develop microcontroller firmware for semiconductor processing equipment.
• Design and implement real-time Linux applications for control and automation.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers on requirements and controls.
• Contribute to tool integration and production deployment.
