Job summary

Fab2 is seeking hands-on software interns to help build Studio, a browser-based, multiplayer platform for chip design. You will work end-to-end on Rust across the stack, shipping major features and influencing the toolchain from design to deployment.

The role requires strong Rust or C++ experience and a passion for building from scratch. This internship is paid hourly with compensation aligned to a market range and located in San Francisco, with opportunities to impact cutting-edge silicon

Qualifications

• Strong Rust, or serious C++/systems experience.
• Solid systems fundamentals: memory, performance, concurrency.
• A track record of non-trivial software you built from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Deeply interactive, low-latency editing tools and auto-routing.
• A diffable, mergeable document model with real-time collaboration.
• The sync engine streaming edits between clients for high-bandwidth collaboration.
• A GPU canvas that renders millions of polygons with smooth performance.
• Simulation you can feel with fast interactive feedback during analysis.
