Job summary

Qrypt Inc. seeks a Backend Software Engineer to build the services behind our quantum security products. You will write and ship backend software—primarily in Rust—that moves quantum entropy and keys, powers our entropy-as-a-service platform, and ensures scalable, reliable operation across devices.

You will use AI-assisted development tooling, own the correctness of your work, and collaborate with hardware, product, and other engineers to ship end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of building and shipping backend software.
• Proficiency in Rust or strong systems programming with Rust focus.
• Familiarity with C++ and Python.
• Solid grasp of APIs, concurrency, testing, and Linux.
• Ability to work with AI-assisted development and own output.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test backend services and APIs in Rust, with some C++ and Python.
• Deliver quantum entropy and keys reliably and securely.
• Write well-tested, maintainable code and participate in reviews.
• Adopt AI-assisted development tooling and establish standards.
• Shape how the team uses AI tooling as it matures.
• Collaborate with hardware, product, and other engineers to ship end-to-end.
