Job summary

Qrypt seeks a Backend Software Engineer to build the services behind our quantum security products. You will write and ship backend software—primarily in Rust—that moves quantum entropy and keys, powers our entropy-as-a-service platform, and scales reliably across appliances.

You will use AI-assisted tooling while owning the correctness and quality of everything you ship, collaborating with hardware, product, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years building and shipping backend software.
• Proficiency in Rust or strong systems programming in C/C++/Go with Rust focus.
• Working familiarity with C++ and Python.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, services, concurrency, testing, and Linux.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test backend services and APIs, primarily in Rust, with some C++ and Python.
• Work on software that delivers quantum entropy and keys reliably and securely.
• Write well-tested, maintainable code and participate in design and code reviews.
• Use AI-assisted and agentic development tooling to accelerate work while owning correctness and quality.
• Help shape team adoption of AI-assisted development tooling and standards.
• Understand the domain to build and validate products, collaborating across hardware and product teams.
