Job summary

InReach Rehab is seeking a flexible Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Holy Cross Hospital in Taos, NM. This role offers full-time or part-time options and a patient-centered, collaborative rural care environment.

You will deliver therapy under supervision, help develop treatment plans, educate patients, document progress, and participate in ongoing professional development within a supportive, family-oriented organization.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
• Current New Mexico PTA license (or eligibility).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
• Interest in rural healthcare and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality therapy services under supervision of a PT.
• Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions, including exercises, manual therapy, and use of modalities.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate, timely clinical records.
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and strategies to support recovery.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment.
• Collaborate with the therapy team and other healthcare staff to ensure coordinated, effective care.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and adjust interventions as appropriate.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to a positive team culture.
