Job summary

InReach Rehab seeks an Occupational Therapist to join Holy Cross Hospital in Taos, NM. This full-time/part-time role focuses on helping patients regain independence and daily function in a collaborative rural setting.

You will develop personalized treatment plans, implement evidence-based ADL/IADL interventions, and educate patients and families. New graduates are encouraged to apply; supervision of COTAs is part of the role.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current New Mexico OT license or eligibility for licensure.
• Rural healthcare experience preferred; supervision of COTAs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine functional needs and goals.
• Develop individualized plans to improve independence and safety.
• Implement evidence-based ADL/IADL interventions and mobility training.
• Fabricate or recommend adaptive equipment and educate on use.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for patient-centered care.
• Supervise and mentor COTAs and direct treatment plans when appropriate.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans for optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on home programs and safety.
• Participate in quality improvement and professional development.
