Job summary

Top Dog Recruiting invites a Psychiatrist to join a rural Eastern Oregon Critical Access Hospital and Level IV Trauma Center in La Grande. The role focuses on autonomous clinical work, expanding behavioral health and primary care services, with relocation assistance provided.

Expect a permanent, full-time schedule with four 10-hour days, day shift, and competitive compensation of $350K–$385K+ per year. Epic EMR experience preferred and strong collaboration with care teams.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency.
• Active, unrestricted state medical license.
• Board certified or board eligible in general psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and follow-up care for a diverse rural patient population.
• Oversee pharmacological treatments and monitor patient progress for efficacy and safety.
• Partner with primary care and behavioral health teams to provide a whole-patient approach.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for acute and chronic mental health conditions (depression, anxiety, PTSD, SUD).
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the behavioral health team and help develop clinical protocols.
• Utilize Epic EMR for timely, accurate charting.
• Provide consultation within Level IV Trauma Center for acute stabilization.
• Participate in community initiatives to reduce stigma and improve access.

Education

Medical Degree (MD) from an accredited school

Completion of an ACGME-accredited Residency in Psychiatry

Active, unrestricted State Medical License

Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry
