Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC seeks a Psychiatrist to join a growing Critical Access Hospital in rural Eastern Oregon. You will provide autonomous, high-quality psychiatric care within a Level IV Trauma Center, collaborating with primary care and behavioral health teams.

Situated in La Grande, OR, the role features relocation assistance, a four 10-hour day schedule, day shift, and a competitive compensation package up to $385k+ per year plus incentives. Epic EMR usage is expected.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited school.
• ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency completed.
• Active, unrestricted State Medical License.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry.
• Commitment to high-quality care in a community setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up care for rural patients.
• Oversee pharmacological treatments and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with Primary Care and Behavioral Health teams for a whole-patient approach.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for acute and chronic mental health conditions.
• Serve as subject matter expert and contribute to clinical protocols.
• Utilize Epic EMR for charting.
• Provide psychiatric consultation in Level IV Trauma Center for acute stabilization.
• Participate in community initiatives to reduce stigma and improve access.
