Job summary

Ashton North LLC in La Grande, Oregon is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our rural Critical Access Hospital and Level IV Trauma Center. You will provide autonomous behavioral health care and collaborate with primary care and behavioral health colleagues to deliver a whole-patient approach.

The position offers relocation assistance, a four 10-hour day schedule, day shift, and a competitive compensation package up to $385k+ per year plus incentives.

Qualifications

• MD from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Residency in Psychiatry.
• Active, unrestricted State Medical License.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry.
• Strong skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care in a community-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and follow-up care for a diverse rural patient population.
• Oversee pharmacological treatments and monitor patient progress for safety and efficacy.
• Partner with Primary Care providers and Behavioral Health specialists to provide a holistic approach to health.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic mental health conditions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the behavioral health team, contributing to workforce training and clinical protocols.
• Utilize Epic EMR for timely and accurate clinical charting.
• Provide consultation within the Level IV Trauma Center environment for acute patient stabilization.
• Participate in community-based initiatives to reduce stigma of mental health and improve access to care in the region.
