The role involves conducting psychiatric evaluations, managing pharmacotherapy, and forming individualized treatment plans for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Residency in Psychiatry.
• Active, unrestricted State Medical License.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry.
• Strong commitment to high-quality community-based care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and follow-up care for a rural patient population.
• Oversee pharmacological treatments and monitor patient progress for safety and efficacy.
• Collaborate with Primary Care and Behavioral Health teams for a holistic approach.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for mental health conditions (depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance use).
• Serve as an expert for the behavioral health team and help train staff and develop protocols.
• Use Epic EMR for clinical charting.
• Provide consultation within the Level IV Trauma Center for acute stabilization.
• Participate in community initiatives to reduce mental health stigma and improve access to care.
