Job summary

Appalachian Regional Commission seeks a Program Analyst to join the Critical Infrastructure Team, reviewing and managing a portfolio of federal grant projects related to water, sewer, broadband, and downtown redevelopment, plus natural/cultural asset development.

The role collaborates with communities and state partners to improve grant deployment, develop innovative strategies, and advance smart technologies and entrepreneurial approaches to strengthening infrastructure in Appalachia.

Qualifications

  • Experience in rural community economic development and barriers.
  • Experience in one or more: industrial site development, downtown/Main Street, tourism, outdoor recreation, renewable energy and power production, broadband deployment, brownfield development.
  • Adept in grants management processes and monitors/ administers grants.
  • Strong ability to facilitate diverse groups including federal, state, and local partners, in a consultative and collaborative manner.
  • Public speaking experience and providing training/technical assistance to organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Review and manage a portfolio of federal grant projects related to infrastructure and redevelopment.
  • Collaborate with communities and state partners to deploy grant funds toward critical infrastructure investments.
  • Develop innovative strategies and partnerships to advance smart technologies and entrepreneurial approaches for the region.
  • Report to the Division Director and coordinate with the Critical Infrastructure Team.
