Job summary

Appalachian Regional Commission seeks a Program Analyst to join the Critical Infrastructure Team in Washington, DC. You will review and manage a portfolio of federal grant projects across water, sewer, broadband, and downtown redevelopment, collaborating with communities and state partners to optimize grant deployment toward critical infrastructure investments.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in community economic development, esp. rural areas and barriers to overcome.
  • Experience in sites, downtown/Main Street, tourism, outdoor recreation, renewable energy, broadband, or brownfield development.
  • Adept at grants management processes and agreements for grants.
  • Ability to convene diverse groups including federal, state, and local partners.

Responsibilities

  • Review and manage a portfolio of federal grant projects related to infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with communities and state partners to deploy grant funds effectively.
  • Develop strategies and partnerships to advance smart technologies and entrepreneurial approaches.
  • Travel as needed and support training and technical assistance.
