Job summary

The Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, AK seeks support for the Zero Suicide Project across the YK Delta. You will assist in planning and coordinating trainings, provide case management, and offer Calricaraq/qaruyun counseling to individuals identified at risk.

You will collaborate with Village Tribal Council, BH staff, schools and social service agencies, completing required documentation. Travel by small planes is required, with a strong cross-cultural sensitivity to Alaska Native

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or RHS certification) preferred.
• Behavioral Health Aide or Chemical Dependency counselor certification preferred.
• Experience in a cross-cultural setting, preferably with Alaska Native cultures; Yupi’k language speaker preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in implementation of the Zero Suicide Project in communities throughout the YK Delta region.
• Assist in planning and coordinating trainings related to suicide prevention.
• Provide case management and Calricaraq/qaruyun counseling for individuals identified at risk through this project.
• Collaborate with Village Tribal Council, BH Staff, Schools and other social service agencies and complete required documentation related to the project.
• Travel in small planes required.
