Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska, is seeking a Behavioral Health Case Manager for Emergency Services. You will provide case management for ER clients, coordinate travel, meals and lodging for clients and escorts, and perform substance abuse screening and assessments.

The role requires an Associate degree in Social Work or related field, 2 years in behavioral health, and enabling certification in Substance Abuse Counseling; Yup’ik/English bilingual preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Social Work or related field preferred.
• Two years experience in Behavioral Health or similar community service.
• Certification in Substance Abuse Counseling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management services for clients seen in the Emergency Room for emergency services.
• Coordinate travel, meals, and lodging for clients and their escorts being seen in the Emergency Room for Behavioral Health care.
• Provide substance abuse screening, assessments and case management support to clients who present to the hospital for emergent/urgent care due to substance abuse and are requesting residential care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions as directed.
• Track and conduct follow up calls to clients who were recently discharged from Emergency Services.
