Job summary

YKHC seeks a Behavioral Health support role to assist in the Zero Suicide Project across the YK Delta. You will help plan and coordinate trainings, provide case management, and deliver Calricaraq/qaruyun counseling to individuals identified at risk.

Collaboration with Village Tribal Council, BH staff, schools and social services is essential; travel by small planes to communities is required, contributing to improved mental health outcomes in rural Alaska.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of cross-cultural settings, preferably with Alaska Native cultures.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
• Yupi’k language skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating trainings related to the Zero Suicide Project.
• Provide case management and Calricaraq/qaruyun counseling for individuals identified at risk.
• Collaborate with Village Tribal Council, BH staff, schools and other social service agencies; complete required documentation.
• Travel in small planes to communities as part of project duties.
