Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska, is seeking a specialist to coordinate traditional healing activities and community gatherings for the MSPI/Suicide Prevention and Family Spirit program. You will work with facilitators, elders, and travelers, ensuring reporting and logistics are managed effectively.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, bilingual Yup’ik/English, and strong counseling and communication skills.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in human services/health related field preferred.
• 5 years of experience in behavioral health or similar community service, with at least 2 years with adults with severe and persistent mental illness preferred.
• Up to four years can substitute for bachelor’s degree.
• Bilingual Yup’ik/English required.
• Valid Alaska Driver’s License and ability to be insured under corporate policy.
• Basic counseling skills and knowledge of Healthy Families, Traditional Yup’ik Healing.
• Good verbal and writing communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate traditional healing activities and gatherings for communities served by YKHC’s MSPI/Suicide Prevention and Family Spirit program.
• Organize and coordinate gatherings for promotion of traditional healing and healthy living.
• Coordinate preparation, facilitators, elders, travel, reporting and other activities required for each gathering.
