Job summary

Cinépolis USA is a luxury cinema exhibitor based in Dallas, operating 26 premium theaters across several states. The Runner delivers food and drinks to guests, contributing to outstanding hospitality and ensuring orders are correct and timely.

As a team member, you will navigate a fast-paced environment, upsell items when appropriate, and assist with dining and concession services, while maintaining guest satisfaction and Cinépolis standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older per state guidelines.
• 1+ year of food running or bussing preferred.
• ServSafe, Food Handling and Alcohol training certifications required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stay detailed and organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrates integrity and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver concessions, kitchen, and bar items to guests accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate with expeditor to ensure orders arrive together and hot.
• Double-check orders and communicate issues to kitchen and supervisors.
• Recommend menu items and upsell promotions to guests.
• Clear and reset auditoriums, manage trash and lost items for the team.
• Assist with ticket scanning, cleaning, and box office tasks as needed.
• Handle guest complaints and direct to proper resource if needed.
• Monitor movie projections and report issues to management.

JOB SUMMARY

Runners are the glue that holds our service together! Their focus is to deliver ordered food and drinks to guests, but they have a huge impact on creating excellent service that keeps guests coming back again and again. They ensure orders are delivered correctly and promptly, and that the guests have all that they need to enjoy the film and their meal. Their enthusiasm, attention to detail, and hospitality are what sets our dining in experience apart from the rest.

JOB DUTIES

• Deliver concessions items, kitchen items, and bar items to guests including utensils, sauces, and napkins while embodying Nice and Amazing Service by following all In Seat Dining procedures.
• Work closely with expediter to ensure all food is delivered simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
• Demonstrate Commitment, and Integrity at all times – double check that orders are correct and complete and communicate with kitchen/expediter/supervisors if they are not.
• Guide guests through the menu and suggest promotions, add-ons, or upselling, demonstrating knowledge of menu and Cinepolis offerings if guests would like to order more items.
• Clean auditoriums removing all dishes, trash, and providing managers with any found items.
• Be of service to your team members and assist them when needed including scanning tickets for guests, cleaning and restroom checks, and ringing up guests at concessions or box office.
• Navigate guest complaints and assist with requests or direct them to proper resource if unable to assist.
• Be cognizant of issues with movie projections-communicating with management when issues arise.
• Complete all opening, mid and closing procedures- including but not limited to other duties.
• Acknowledging guest by Cinépolis standards.
• Attend and participate in trainings and meetings.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Must be 18 years or older. Refer to your state guidelines
• 1+ years of food running or bussing preferred
• ServSafe, Food Handling and Alcohol training certifications required
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with employees, guests, and management
• Effective communication skills with the ability to handle difficult and stressful situations and issues in a positive manner
• Must be able to maintain strong attention to detail while able to prioritize in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
• Have integrity and can be counted on to the right thing
• Available nights, holidays and weekends
