Job summary

Juniper Systems is seeking a technically skilled Sales Engineer to support the growth of its rugged handheld computing line. You will act as the technical expert during the sales process, understanding customer requirements, delivering demonstrations, and supporting evaluations to drive revenue growth across strategic markets.

You will collaborate with account managers, marketing, product management, and engineering to tailor solutions, including OEM and large-scale deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related technical field.
• 3+ years in technical sales, sales engineering, applications engineering, or OEM hardware/software sales with complex customer requirements.
• Experience understanding customer challenges, recommending solutions, and supporting pre- to post-sale processes.
• Experience working with customers to evaluate, deploy, and support technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical expert for rugged handheld computing solutions throughout the sales process.
• Understand customer applications and requirements to recommend effective solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, evaluations, and customer training.
• Support account managers in identifying, qualifying, and closing new opportunities.
• Develop and deliver customized, OEM, and large-scale solutions with engineering and product management.
• Provide technical input for quotes, proposals, RFP responses, and customer recommendations.
• Assist customers with implementation planning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Maintain expertise in rugged computing tech, wireless, GPS/GNSS, mobile devices and related solutions.
• Gather and communicate customer feedback, market trends, and competitive intel.
• Build relationships and support trade shows and customer visits to drive revenue growth.
