Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. in Lynchburg, Virginia is seeking a RTR LT Process and Equipment Engineer.

This on-site role focuses on developing and optimizing lower-tier processes for aluminum-clad fuel plates, and coordinating new equipment acquisition from specification to qualification. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure design and quality requirements are met, maintain shop instructions, and contribute to the development of new products and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and at least two years of related experience.
• Superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Highly self-motivated and directed with strong interpersonal skills.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DOE clearance.
• Proficient with Microsoft products and statistical software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as process owner for developing/optimizing RTR lower tier processes.
• Oversee manufacturing processes including compacting, rolling, and punching.
• Ensure customer design and quality requirements are understood and met.
• Ensure shop work instructions meet form, fit and function.
• Lead/develop new products and processes.
