BWXT in Lynchburg, VA is seeking an RTR LT Process and Equipment Engineer to own and optimize lower-tier RTR processes from compact fabrication to aluminum-clad fuel plates. You will lead equipment qualification and oversee manufacturing steps.

The role requires a technical bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related experience, plus US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DOE clearance. Strong communication and computer skills are essential, on-site in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 2+ years of related experience.
• Superior written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
• Highly self-motivated and directed with strong interpersonal skills.
• US citizen.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DOE clearance.
• Computer savvy with Microsoft Office and statistical software.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize RTR lower-tier processes from fabrication to fuel plate production.
• Oversee manufacturing processes including compacting, rolling, and punching.
• Ensure customer design/quality requirements are understood and met.
• Develop, qualify, and implement new products and processes.
