Job summary

Covetus is seeking an experienced RTMDS Level 3 Support Engineer to provide advanced production support for the Real-time Managed Distribution Service (RTMDS), delivering market data to a global customer base.

You will work with Core Engineering, Development, QE, Network, Operations, and Delivery teams to resolve complex issues, automate infrastructure delivery, and maintain a stable, scalable environment. Preference for strong RTDS, RHEL/Linux, and scripting expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience supporting complex production infrastructure and financial market data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 technical support for RTMDS production environments and complex customer issues.
• Collaborate with Core Engineering and Development teams to resolve deployment and configuration issues.
• Support a private cloud environment hosting hundreds of customers with high service expectations.
• Manage platform compliance, standards, patching, and production infrastructure.
• Develop infrastructure inventory and support RTMDS architecture to maintain stable and scalable environments.
• Troubleshoot issues involving build processes, RTDS software configurations, inventory, hardware, and custom configurations.
• Provide fix-forward solutions for production-impacting issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, processes, and procedures.
• Train Level 2 and Level 3 support teams on complex tasks and improve capabilities.
• Implement and enhance monitoring for production systems with Core Engineering.
• Develop automation to support mass infrastructure deployment and management.
• Work with QE to ensure CI/production testing prevents recurring failures.
• Collaborate with Network teams to test WAN/LAN market data delivery.
• Lead and support delivery, operations, and external partners in resolving issues.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced RTMDSv3 Level 3 Support Engineer to provide advanced production support for the Realtime Managed Distribution Service (RTMDS), a strategically important platform responsible for delivering market data to a global customer base.

The Level 3 Support Engineer will work closely with Core Engineering, Development, QE, Network, Operations, and Delivery teams to develop functionality, resolve complex production issues, automate infrastructure delivery, and maintain a stable, reliable, and predictable environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial market data, RTDS technologies, RHEL, networking, shell scripting, automation, and production troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 technical support for RTMDS production environments and complex customer issues.
• Work closely with Core Engineering and Development teams to resolve production deployment and software configuration issues.
• Support a private cloud environment hosting hundreds of customers with high service expectations.

• Lead and support delivery teams, operations teams, and external partners in resolving complex technical issues.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of financial market data and experience delivering market data solutions.
• Hands-on expertise with RTDS technologies, including:
• RTDS ADH
• RTDS ADS
• DACS
• ATS
• Strong experience with RHEL/Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Advanced Shell scripting skills.
• Strong understanding of networking, server hardware, WAN, and LAN environments.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Rundeck.
• Advanced scripting experience with Python or similar languages.
• Experience with workflow/service management tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.
• Experience with development and source-control tools such as Git and DX1.
• Strong production troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
