Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care across respiratory care disciplines in accordance with physician orders. The role includes consulting with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serving as an advanced resource for respiratory care to physicians and nursing staff.

Minimum education includes a CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program graduate with an active RCP license and NBRC RRT credential. ACLS is preferred, and PALS is required for ER personnel.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license per state requirements.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• ACLS (preferred). PALS required for ER staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
