Aufgaben

• Perform and document patient assessment including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
• Administer respiratory care therapies including oxygen delivery and chest physiotherapy.
• Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate/monitor mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patient response and notify provider if the response is outside expected parameters.
• Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
• Respond to emergent situations ensuring airway integrity during resuscitation.

Ausbildung

Associate Degree or Certificate Program in Respiratory

NBRC and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

NRP - Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
