HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for PRN/per diem shifts. You will guide patients through routine and critical care, perform ventilation management, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure high-quality respiratory care.

You will assess respiratory status, deliver evidence-based therapy, and maintain equipment while adhering to infection-prevention standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in respiratory
• NBRC and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• NRP must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status with focused exams and airway assessment
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen, aerosolized meds, and airway clearance
• Manage ventilation and airway support, including invasive/noninvasive ventilation
• Educate patients and families, support colleagues, and assist in newborn stabilization when needed
• Maintain equipment and uphold infection-prevention standards
