Job summary

HCA Florida Capital Hospital in Tallahassee is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a full-time night shift. The RT will guide patients through routine and critical respiratory care, utilizing advanced technology and a collaborative team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessing respiratory status, delivering therapy, managing ventilation, and educating patients and families while maintaining equipment and safety standards.

Qualifications

• NBRC and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Associate Degree in Respiratory Care required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status via focused exams, airway patency checks, and intervention needs.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen, aerosolized meds, airway clearance techniques.
• Manage ventilation and airways with invasive and noninvasive ventilation, monitor responses.
• Educate patients and families, collaborate with physicians/nurses, assist with newborn stabilization when needed.
• Maintain equipment and safety, ensure infection prevention standards and readiness.
